Chiung Yao is a novelist and songwriter who's born in Sichuan, China 1938. But then, she also became a scriptwriter and producer in films which based on her novels. I read her books since I was on yhe 4th grade of elementary school. It started out when I was really like watching "Putri Huan Zhu I" or "Princess Pearl I" on Indosiar back in 1999. That was my first Chinese historical drama based on Chiung Yao's novel, when I was 9 years old. I like it a lot till every time I went to Carrefour with my parents I always came over the book and stationary station (not so many books there and the novels were located in the corner of the racks, I mean.. that's just so bad) and asked my mom to be bought PHZ 1 books, which consisted of several series in one season (of course it needed several back and forth to get all of them). Muahahaha.
I've read all of the books but they were not in the shape now thanks to flood in 2002 :( Anywaaay, not only PHZ I that I recomend to read, there are also several novels from Chiung Yao which made me tearing up when I read them, since they were almost had tragic endings, but still she described every situation, moment, and the act of the figures very detail, that makes us drown in our own imagination. I'll be back with my fave books of her : PHZ I and PHZ II. Lalalala~
